Taking Care of Tallahassee
We believe a hometown company should invest in the community it serves. Here is what is being planned, described honestly — none of it has started yet.
Seminole Heating & Air is being built for Tallahassee, and community work is part of the plan from the beginning rather than something added later. Being a local business means more than a service area on a map — it means the people we will work for are neighbors.
Heating and cooling is a good place for a local company to help. In North Florida a failed air conditioner is not an inconvenience for everyone; for an older resident in August, or someone with a medical condition affected by heat, it is a genuine safety problem.
We are developing this work deliberately. Nothing on this page is presented as already accomplished — the company has not launched, and no assistance has been provided yet. As initiatives become active, this page will be updated with specifics: partners, projects, and how to participate.
A note on honesty
Plenty of contractor websites describe community work that never happened. We would rather tell you what is planned and let you hold us to it. Until a program is running, you will see it described as planned or in development.
Supporting local charities
We are identifying Tallahassee organizations already doing good work, with the intent of supporting them consistently rather than once a year for a photo.
Planned initiative
Community giveback projects
Projects where an HVAC company can contribute something specific and useful to a local effort, rather than writing a check and moving on.
Planned initiative
Donating labor and services
Contributing labor or services where it is appropriate and genuinely needed, in coordination with local organizations.
Planned initiative
Helping vulnerable neighbors stay safe
Helping local residents who are most at risk when heating or cooling fails maintain a safe home temperature.
Planned initiative
Future community initiative
Seminole Seniors
As Seminole Heating & Air prepares to serve Tallahassee, we're also developing Seminole Seniors, a future community assistance initiative intended to help qualifying local seniors and residents with disabilities facing essential heating and cooling needs.
Everyone deserves a safe home during a North Florida summer. Our goal is to make community service part of the company from the beginning, including donated or reduced-cost HVAC assistance when resources allow.
The program is being developed alongside the business. We are working through eligibility criteria, how requests and nominations will be reviewed, what kinds of assistance can realistically be provided, and which local organizations we can work alongside so that help reaches the people who need it most.
More information about eligibility, nominations and community partnerships will be announced as the program develops. No assistance has been provided yet, and we are not publishing claims about projects, families helped or dollars contributed.
Coming as the program launches
- Nominate a NeighborA way for residents to point us toward someone in the community who needs help.
- Request AssistanceA direct path for qualifying households to ask for help with an essential heating or cooling need.
- Community PartnersLocal organizations we intend to work with to identify and serve households.
- Recent ProjectsDocumentation of completed work, published only once there is real work to show.
None of these are open yet. They will be added here as the program develops and the company begins operating.
Long-term relationships
Why this is part of the business, not a footnote
Community involvement and honest service come from the same place: a company planning to be here a long time.
A business that intends to serve the same neighborhoods for decades has every reason to recommend the repair instead of the replacement, to explain the work plainly, and to help when a neighbor is in a bad spot. Those are not separate commitments. You can read more about the thinking behind the company on our about page.
Community work, planned from day one
Seminole Heating & Air is not yet accepting service requests. Until launch, this site is a practical HVAC resource for North Florida homeowners.
